.......I'm quite impressed with this NY Times Op Ed by Russia's leader, Vladimir Putin. If it reveals his true heart in these matters, at first glance, it appears as though he has some real sense.

.......On the other hand, if you carefully consider his stated views in this Op Ed, there seems to be some real loose ends to his thinking concerning the current Syrian situation.

       Someone posted a number of wants they had in regards to this life and it triggered me to think of a recent study we did in regards to The Four Key Principles of Living, which was triggered in response to our study of Buddhism which relates back to this person's wants.
       Since her stating of all these various wants tied so directly into Buddha's 2nd so-called Noble Truth, we thought we’d share some of our thinking in regards to how the teachings of Buddha fairs when compared to the teachings of Jesus. And so, we begin with Buddha’s teaching in regards to our unfulfilled wants & desires.

Buddha vs. Jesus
(1) The 2nd Key Principle of All Life that Buddha taught about 2500 years ago was that our unfulfilled wants and desires are primarily what leads to our suffering (Life is suffering).

(2) I would disagree greatly with his 2nd Major Point of All Life! What I would say could and might in fact be the 2nd Principle of Life on this planet is that God has a Wonderful Plan available to all who will seriously embrace it!
..
(3) In fact I would disagree with all of Buddha's choices for Life's 4 Key Principles.
..
(4) Buddha says Principle 1 is that Life is Suffering. I would say the 1st Principle of Life would be that there is a wonderful, powerful God who exists, is in control and relates to everyone and everything everywhere.
..
(5) Buddha's 2nd Key Principle, we've already discussed; that our unfulfilled wants & desires lead to our suffering, and again I would say instead, that the 2nd Key Principle could be easily seen to be that there is a Good & Mighty God who desires to implement a Glorious Plan for all who would embrace it!
..
(6) Buddha's 3rd Principle is that we need to get rid of our desires and wants and then we will cease to suffer and instead will be happy, at peace and a blessing to mankind.
..
(7) Again, I don't believe he is right on this one. I would say the 3rd Key Principle of Life would, in fact, be that there is something blocking, hindering, preventing us from experiencing God's Wonderful Plan for our lives, something between us and His Stellar Blueprint.
..
(8) And finally, Buddha's 4th Principle of Life is that we need to acquire the right understanding, right attitude/desire and put this right understanding and attitude into action in a right way and only then will we truly be moving towards a State of Eternal Bliss, or Nirvana, as it’s termed.
..
(9) But once again, we would disagree and say that the 4th Principle of Life could easily be said to be that this Wonderful God who is in control has provided A Beautiful Means to bridge the gap between His Amazing Plan and us!
..

The Conclusion:

Christ and Him Crucified!!!
..
       So, furthermore, I would just like to say we and millions and millions of others down through the millennia have encountered, embraced, kissed and are now partnering with this wonderful God who we call by many names, but our favorite name, for many of us, for Him, is Jesus; who is the firstborn of creation, the very expression of God Almighty, the Great I Am of both the Jewish and Christian Scriptures!

(1st Key Principle)
       In addition, we would also like to point out that this extremely powerful loving God’s plan, is simply to bring all those who are seriously willing into His enjoyable, growing, loving, intimate and fruitful family.

(2nd Key Principle)
       Also, let us just say that we have come to understand that there definitely is something hindering us from being an intimate member of Christ’s lovely family, and that is Sin, our Id, Ego and/or our Super Ego when it’s off God’s track (unconnected to Him, going our own way, doing our own thing irrespective of God’s desires, His voice, His transformative power, His love and so forth).

(3rd Key Principle)
       So finally, but not least, this amazing Creator, Shepherd, crucified, but resurrected Liberator and Ultimate Guide has provided a way to bridge the gap between we, His wretched, sinful, rebellious children and His Beautiful Family, the Body of Christ and that way is Christ and Him crucified!
..
(4th Key Principle)
         His Life! Again and to sum up, many millions have and are living Christ and Him crucified. Be assured that we, who still continue to abide in Christ, can testify to the incredible nature of this journey in the Spirit, in His Body, experiencing His love, forgiveness, power, intimacy and simply put, His Life!  onm-gpr-plus-v

SPIRIT EMPOWERED
       The real Christian journey is a super-naturally empowered, guided, and transforming experience. A Believer is empowered to love, understand, and forgive; to speak, to accept, to refuse, to commend and to rebuke in the Name of the Lord.
       At times one will sense a thought or understanding of Scripture or a situation as coming from God Himself. At other times one will sense a real closeness with the Creator, a real worship flowing towards the Mighty God and love flowing from the Shepherd of all towards oneself.
       Then there are times when one will sense a real closeness, oneness and common love-bond with other brothers and sisters while praying, sharing, reading, prophesying, singing and working together in the Spirit of our wonderful creator.
       At other times one might sense a real peace and confidence in a specific path they are going down and/or a confidence in their general direction.
       This ongoing Spirit empowered walk should be tested as we follow in His footsteps against our previous experiences with the Mighty One and His people and with the Word made flesh, the Word in Creation, in His Church and in His inspired and certifiable writings.


Water and Blood
       Just as Jesus came by way of the water and blood so is our birth, conversion and then walk in Christ (Hear, seriously consider, believe, repent, baptism and then the way of The Cross).
       “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, …the one who abides in love abides in God, … There is no fear in love; the one who fears is not perfected in love. …
       If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; … By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. … and His commandments are not burden-some. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world – Our faith.
       And who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is the one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood.

***The Sabbath Puzzle!***
.....In Genesis 2:3 God in the Original Hebrew and a more literal translation, I believe, gives us a faint, hinted glimpse into His Big Master Plan, but in a roundabout puzzle type of way!
..
***Butchering the Translation!***
.....Most translations butcher and lose what He really said and restructure the sentence into something substantially different than God's actual words in order to make the sentence make sense.
..
***Filling in the Blank!***
.....But the reality of it is, that He simply spoke in an incomplete sentence: "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God had created to make _____________________! (His Beautiful, Enjoyable, Intimate, Fruitful, Loving and Wonderful Family! (Here's my view of one way to properly fill in this incomplete sentence))" Gen 2:3

Huge Challenge, with a Gigantic Solution!

A Terrific Struggle, but an Incredible Remedy!

A Terrific Struggle! 
       “I find this principle at work within me, that, when I desire to do good, I have innate evil tendencies, within, pushing/enticing me in an opposite direction. Though, in my soul, I embrace God’s law, I see another law at work within me, warring against my determination to do good, to live righteously, and bringing me into bondage to a different law, one that is destructive, loveless and evil, one which seems to be ingrained into my very being.”

O Miserable Man, Who will Deliver Me?
       “O miserable man, who will deliver me from this life of death? I’m so thankful, to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. … for to us, who live according to and empowered by the Spirit of Christ Jesus and not as our worldly, self-centered, self-guided inner self would have, there is no condemnation, (no longer the sting of death, but life, love and freedom)!” (Romans 7:21-8:1) onm-gpr-plus-v

An Incredible Remedy!
       That's been my ongoing experience, but if and as I repeatedly turn to Jesus in a heartfelt manner:

3)  Really Hear ... (Isa 55; Jer 6; Heb 1-3)
4)  Eat & Drink Jesus (John 6),
5)  Believe/Trust in … (Gen 15:1-6; Isa 30; John 1-16; Rom 1, 3, 4, 6-12; Gal),
6)  Repent/Confess (Isa 1:16-20; 30; 55; 57:14-21; Ezek 18; Luke 19; Acts 2; Rom 6,10; Gal; 1 John 1:9; Rev 2-3),
7)  Become as a Little Child (Matt 18:1-4) and
8)  Die Unto ... ! (Matt 10:24-42; Rom 6, 8; Philip 2-3) A Blessed Death & Resurrection!
9)  Continue to Struggle Until ... (Gen 32:22-30; Matt 11:11-15; Matt 10:22),
10) Rise in Newness of ... (Isa 30; Matt 11:28-30; John 3, 6, 8, 10, 14-16; Rom 6), Go into Battle/Fight (Ps 23),
11) Feast on ... (Ps 23; John 6),
12) Enter His Rest (Heb 4:1-11), Love (1 John 4:5-21),
13) Build God's Beautiful Family (Eph 2:1-4:16),
14) Continue in His Kindness, Otherwise ... (2 Chron 15:2; Ezek 18; Matt 10:22; John 15; Rom 11:22; 1 Cor 3:10-18; Gal 5,6; Philip 3; Heb 12; Rev 2 & 3) and

One Spirit! (1 Cor 6:17)

So, In Conclusion:


Touching the Face of God!
       In this way, we shall experience the embrace of God, His life, His family, His peace, His work & His Eternity. Even so, may we touch His face, experience His kiss and walk in His steps of peace!

........I personally thought this piece concerning certain positive practical aspects of a wife, improving or maintaining her relationship with her husband, was kind of a beautiful, encouraging and helpful post on Facebook by a relative of mine.

The Protestant and Catholic Debate!
........It's just like in the Protestant and Catholic debate, I think we would do well to work more on our common uplifting (Philip. 4:4-9), most key aspects of the faith (Eph. 2:4-5:21): such as our need to ingest and embrace the Teachings of Christ, His Intimate Kiss (which is a most beautiful experience), His moment by moment Guidance, His Word, His Family, His Cross, His Work and Power (Eph. 3:14-19), individually and corporately (Rev. 2:1-3:22).

Debilitating  Differences
Need Touching!
........Sure, the various differences of the churches are at times very significant and even critical and debilitating and need to be dealt with (John 4:1-15) on a case by case basis with the love of Christ (1 Cor. 13:1-8) and according to His timing (John 16:12-17). 
...
Eating and Drinking JESUS! 
........For example: Eating the Body of Christ and Drinking His Blood is a most important teaching and principle of the faith (John 6:26-59). One Group, in my mind seems to turn it into no more than a commemoratory kind of ceremony, which removes almost all of it's real power and meaning and life.
........While the Other Group seems to me to almost turn the mandated ceremony into something akin to swallowing a magic pill (Gal. 5:1-25) and viola I've now got God's power inside of me, in fact Jesus Himself. 
...
Both Views Are Destructive!
........Both views do a grave, Christian killing disservice to the Body of Christ (2 Pet. 3:9-18) and to each and every individual believer, who subscribes and lives by such views (Rom. 16:17-18). 
...
What's Really Needed! 
........What's really needed, when we think of Eating and Drinking Jesus, is not just a simple commemoration, not just some magic charm, but a complete embrace of Christ (John 3:1-8), His teachings, His personal ongoing Hugs, His Kisses (S. of S. 1:1-8), His Guidance (Isaiah 30:1-26), His Cross (Rom. 6:5), His Church (Eph. 4:3-16, fellow disciples), His Work (Philip. 3:17-21), His Word and His Principles (2 Tim. 3:15-17), to the extent that we have His Life (Rom. 8:1-17), Peace (Gal. 5:18-23), Fruitfulness, Kisses, and His Oneness (1 Cor. 6:17).

........Just a bunch of religious activity, minus the real power, The True Life, Jesus Himself!
